This morning in the president’s office, the President of the University of Alicante, Manuel Palomar, and Hidraqua’s CEO, Francisco Bartual, handed a cheque for 3,240 euros to the director of the Emplea Foundation, Jon Zamora, raised at the 120 Years of Aguas de Alicante charity concert, which both institutions organised on 19 November at the Teatro Principal, in conjunction with Alicante City Council and Aguas de Alicante. The concert was performed by the University of Alicante Philharmonic Orchestra (OFUA), which is sponsored by Hidraqua, with Tobias Gossmann as its conductor.

All the funds raised by this concert, under the framework of the VEU Solidària (Charity Voice) of the University of Alicante choir, will be given to Fundación Emplea. This non-profit organisation is dedicated to developing innovative methods and projects to promote full transition to the job market of people at risk of exclusion from employment. Fundación Emplea supports other social entities and companies by generating projects in a network to transfer innovation to stakeholders and foster the development of an economy with a more social focus.
