The Museo de Aguas de Alicante hosts the 2nd Environmental Journalism Awards organised by Hidraqua and the APA

This morning, the Museo de Aguas de Alicante, hosted the 2nd Environmental Journalism Awards of the Province of Alicante, organised by Hidraqua and the Alicante Press Association (APA).

First prize went to the article ‘Alicante lidera la petición de ayudas al Consell para el autoconsumo eléctrico’ (Alicante heads applications for aid to the Council for self-generated electricity consumption) by Vicente López and Juan Carlos Pérez. The jury—made up of Elena Cebrián, Councillor for Agriculture, Environment, Climate Change and Rural Development of the Government of Valencia; Andreu Escrivá, journalist specialising in the environment; Pepe Soto, President of the APA; Francisco Bartual, Hidraqua’s CEO; and Martín Sanz, external relations and communications manager at Hidraqua— chose the work because of ‘the field work involved, the thoroughness of the data and the information graphics used’.

In addition, given the quality of the work received, the jury decided to award a second prize to the article ‘De residuos a camisetas y zapatos de primeras marcas’ (From waste to leading brand T-shirts and shoes) by Beatriz Rico.
